Great location, Hotel needs some love.

While this hotel is in a great location, it really needs some love and attention. There is no bar for drinks (or if there was, it was constantly closed), no food other than an expensive vending machine and even the coffee had to be paid for - even though it was only a small machine, not freshly brewed or anything. There is a free drinking water dispenser though. The rooms are generally clean, but very dated and need a proper refresh (and a deep clean would be great!). The TV is mounted in the corner of the room next to the window and is quite small by today's standards (27" matbe?), I didn't even bother turning it on. The bed was perfectly comfortable although it had two single sheets rather than one double. The curtains / window coverings where also a bit threadbare and didn't really fit the windows, but this follows the general condition of the rooms. There were electric shutters on the outside that you could close which gave some privacy / darkness. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Whilst the location is great for getting around (right next to the HBf and a 10 minute walk to the Messe), the streets are very dirty and it is very close to the red light area. It's also a prolific drug area - so be careful if going out when it's dark. However, the main street is only two blocks over and there is a wide variety of great quailty places to eat and drink. All in all, if you aren't too fussy, want somewhere cheap to sleep and shower, then the Savoy is fine. If you're on holiday and looking for more of a 'hotel' experience, look elsewhere - you'd be disappointed with anything more than a couple of nights here.

I recently stayed at the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt, and unfortunately, there was nothing particularly special about my experience. The first thing that struck me was the size of the rooms. They were tiny, which was quite disappointing. I had expected a bit more space and comfort. To add to my disappointment, I was given a smoking room, and I was not aware that smoking rooms were still in vogue. The lingering scent of smoke in the room was not pleasant, and it certainly didn't contribute to a comfortable stay. The only saving grace is its location. It's conveniently situated right in front of the train station, making it a convenient choice for travellers who need easy access to transportation. In summary, while the location of the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt is its saving grace, the small rooms and the availability of smoking rooms left a lot to be desired. I hope the hotel considers modernizing its rooms and making them more comfortable for guests in the future.

Hands down the worst most run down hotel I’ve ever stayed in, after 3 weeks of travelling Europe staying in 8 Different hotels , ending our last night in Europe at the Savoy was disappointing , booking on line months earlier the pictures on the website and self given 4 stars was very misleading , the shower cubicle door was missing so a poorly hung shower curtain used in its place , shower head and libd broken , carpet peeling off the floor, wall boards crumbling , stained walls and wall paper, shower cubicle mouldy , to top it off Room AC self switched off at 1am when it was 35 degrees Celsius with no way to turn it back on , Cable TV lost signal every 3 minutes and took 5 minutes or more to come back on. To finish the review we were hoping the badly stained carpet by the table was Indian curry ? Or if not human waste , we hoped it was the first ,

+ points - cheap, clean , quite friendly. - points - Anywhere near Frankfurt Hbh makes Mogadishu look like a beach resort, don’t be out after dark, dirt, drugs & nefarious characters; coffee machine expensive & useless ; aircon & pool extra charge (that they don’t tell you on booking) Cheap accommodation by the station but don’t expect too much.

Conveniently located opposite the main station the Savoy has not changed or undergone any renovations. Besides the convenience of location it still is a clean and value for money place however the breakfast spread is no longer available. No breakfast is available and you can go to the hotel next door for breakfast at an extra payment of 12.50 € or make your own arrangements.
